With over a decade of piano teaching experience, Dr. Lo-An Lin has guided students ranging from complete beginners to advanced levels, spanning the ages of 4 to 63.

​

A devoted educator, Dr. Lin earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree, specializing in Piano Performance with a minor in Piano Pedagogy, at the Eastman School of Music. During her time at Eastman, she played a pivotal role as a teaching assistant for the class piano program and as a studio assistant under the mentorship of renowned piano pedagogues Nelita True and Tony Caramia.

Her teaching journey has taken her to institutions such as the Eastman Community Music School and Nazareth College School of Music. Currently, she holds the position of Assistant Professor at Soochow University in Suzhou, China.

Dr. Lin's expertise has been sought globally, as evidenced by her invitations to conduct masterclasses at various colleges and universities. These include esteemed institutions like Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, Nazareth College in Rochester, New York, East Tennessee State University, Denison University, University of Alabama, Taipei National University of the Arts, Northwest Minzu University in China, and the San Francisco Conservatory. Her commitment to sharing her knowledge and passion for music education extends both nationally and internationally.

Lo-An’s students have also been prize winners in many competitions, including the Liszt Memorial Prize International Piano Open Competition, Hsinghai Cup National Piano Competition in China, London Young Musician Competition, Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition, Pre-election of Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children, Starlight Cup Competition, Steinway Piano Competition (East China division), Golden Bauhinia International Competition, the Asia International Music Competition, Kawai Asia Piano Competition, and Shanghai International Piano Competition.
